Computer Science Education week is well underway and you may be looking for activities that will engage student interests as well as teach the basic principles of coding. Code.Org is a great repository of activities that teach students how to program sprites on the screen to perform certain activites and even create their own games. Most activities include short videos that explain some fundamental concepts to students and students can sign in and save their work. Teachers also have the ability to download lesson plans that incorporate the principles covered in each activity and can sort content by grade level and subjects covered. There are even activites that don’t require a connection to the internet!
